Energy Patterns for July 2010

Major Waveform Patterns:

Jul 1st to the 5th -- a strong transition for the 4th.
Jul 6th to the 14th -- the outer planet storm takes off again!
Jul 15th to the 20th -- some badly needed down time.
Jul 21st to the end of the month -- another powerful storm.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

Unlike May and June, which were both essentially one long storm pattern each, there's a little variety in the energy patterns for July. The two storm periods are powerful and well-organized, with at least 3 Koz Quakes (of 600 units or more) sprinkled in there. It's unusual to hit Quake levels at all, typically only a few times a year, so somebody is obviously leaning on the throttle too hard. The transitional times between the storms are hardly weaklings, although the 15th to the 20th is probably the quietest time we've seen in months. The outer planets are working together in overdrive and we're definitely feeling their effects on our lives. I see 4 main energy patterns in July.

Jul 1st to the 5th

The 1st to the 5th is a rather strong transition time as planets reshuffle themselves between storms. The waveform ranges in strength from 389 to 488 units, pretty moderate energy levels. The main harmonics in the waveform include H24, H12, H4 and H48 -- a generally irritating mood overall. The main peaks in the waveform straddle the cusps of zodiac signs, from 28 degrees of one sign to about 2 degrees of the next; there's a secondary emphasis around 16 degrees. There's not much going on these days, but that doesn't mean this time is easy and relaxing. The active planets are mainly Mercury and Uranus, making for some nervous, jittery energy. People are in their heads, not their bodies. Their thinking is somewhat erratic, unpredictable and not very grounded, especially since Uranus is going retrograde on the 5th. I'd normally tell you to relax during a transition time, but that may be hard to do under these vibrations. Get out for a walk or some physical activity -- it helps work the nervous tension out of your body.

Jul 6th to the 14th

The 6th to the 14th is a potent, well-formed storm. The intensity levels reach up to an imposing 620 units on the 8th, then drop off precipitously to an anemic 366 by the 14th -- quite a roller coaster ride! The harmonics are a mix of H12, H24, H6 and H4 -- somewhat more positive and helpful, assuming it doesn't overwhelm you. Once more, the emphasized areas include 29-2 and 16 degrees of each sign. The outer planet T-square is being triggered into action by Mercury and Venus, which make numerous aspects with all those outer planets. The 9th to 11th is a pivotal time within the larger period, since Mercury and Venus both change signs and the new moon on the 11th is a solar eclipse. The overall mood of this pattern will be changing frequently as the week develops, making it hard to make any generalizations as to its effect. But given the sheer power of this pattern, make room for unexpected twists and turns along the way. The Trickster Uranus is still standing still, so be ready to be surprised. I'd wait until after the eclipse before starting any new projects.

Jul 15th to the 20th

The 15th to the 20th is the closest thing to a disorganized, wimpy transition period that we've seen in months. The waveform cools off to the 360 to 498 unit level, weak to moderate energy. The harmonics consist of a fat H12, H4, H48 and some miscellaneous noise -- pleasant in a muddled sort of way. Again, the peaks are around 28-2 and 16 degrees. The only planet triggering the outer planets now is Mercury (by 8th harmonic aspects) -- a good time to catch your breath and take your mental bearings amid all the chaos lately. Take note of any ideas or images that come to you these days. Much of it may just be mirroring your own inner mental garbage, a useful present by the way, although there may be a few genuinely inspired ideas in there. Above all, slow down! We've been stressed out for way too long.

Jul 21st to the end of the month

Finally, the 21st to the end of the month is another powerful storm. The intensity knob ranges from 440 to 610 units -- this will keep us plenty busy! The harmonics are H12, H4 and H24 mostly -- positive, constructive, overwhelming, but with an edge to it. The peaks are still around 29-2 and 16 degrees. Once more, there are several subperiods going on here, as first the Sun, then Mercury and finally Mars connect with the outer planets. The Mars influence (from the 26th on) is the most interesting of the three. Mars requires you to find some physical outlet for all the stressful energy within you, preferably something useful. Watch your temper, as Mars-Saturn opposite Jupiter-Uranus is like a lit dynamite stick, a recipe for something blowing up. It helps to keep both mind and body focused on some project. Make room for detours -- the path to your goals is rarely straight right now. This storm is still going strong as we head into August...
