Energy Patterns for February 2010

Major Waveform Patterns:

Feb 1st to the 3rd -- the month starts out slowly.
Feb 4th to the 9th -- the big storm is kicking in...
Feb 10th to the 16th -- ... and then goes into overdrive.
Feb 17th to the 21st -- things are calming down a little.
Feb 22nd to the 25th -- a baby storm, much saner and more constructive.
Feb 26th to the end of the month -- not much happening end of month.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

February is a highly changeable month, with important shifts in the energy patterns every few days. In broad outline, there's a major storm in two acts from the 4th to the 16th, followed by a milder storm during the 22nd to 25th, with some disorganized downtime during the remaining periods. Much of this activity is centered on that trio of Jupiter, Saturn and Pluto, with the remnants of the Neptune knot playing a supporting role. In more detail, I see (at least) 6 patterns to discuss.

Feb 1st to the 3rd

The 1st to the 3rd is a continuation of the weak transition period that closed out January. The overall energy levels are pretty wimpy, ranging from 350 to 431 units of strength. The harmonics are a mixture of H48, H12 and H24, a clue that life is scattered and disorganized, making it hard to bring about positive changes. The energies are mostly focused at 3-5 and 18-22 degrees of each zodiac sign -- check where this hits your own birthchart. Frankly, there's not much happening these days. Mercury and Venus make some minor contacts (via octiles and a trioctile) with the Pluto trio and that's about it. There's a heavy atmosphere hanging over us, but there's not much to send it over a tipping point and make something happen. Try to clear up old business hanging over your head and prepare for the upcoming storm.

Feb 4th to the 9th

The 4th to the 9th is act one of the major storm. The strength levels range from 377 units up to a low Koz Alert of 507 early on the 6th. The harmonics consist of H36, H12 and possibly some H24 -- an odd mixture that is pleasant, though probably not very productive. The peak energies are at 5 and 25 degrees of each sign. The Pluto trio is quite active these days, receiving contacts mostly from the Sun. Meanwhile, Mercury and Venus are tickling Neptune and friends. Relationships with others may be a bit strange and unpredictable, with a feeling of unreality in the air. It can feel like a magical time occasionally -- just remember to keep your feet on the ground.

Feb 10th to the 16th

After a brief time to reshuffle the patterns, the storm goes into its dramatic second act from the 10th to the 16th. The waveform varies in strength from 394 units up to a towering 586 (on the 14th), with numerous Alerts throughout the week. The harmonics consist of H12, H48 and H2, as constructive as the Pluto trio can get. The bigger peaks are at 4-7 degrees of each sign, with secondary peaks around 25 degrees. Mercury, Venus and Mars make numerous connections with the trio, creating the 4-7 degree peaks -- the social stresses around us are impacting us on many levels simultaneously. This is a busy, chaotic time, so try to get a running start on it if you don't want to be overwhelmed by these energies.

Feb 17th to the 21st

The 17th to the 21st is a transitional period after the storm as it starts to fall apart. The waveform is in the 367 to 467 unit region, although such high readings are rare, with low 400's being more the norm. The harmonics are a fat and fuzzy H12 and lots of H48 -- almost constructive, though hard to focus. The hot spots are at 1-4, 9 and 25 degrees. The Sun and Mercury tap into the outer planets some, but otherwise this is mostly a slow time. Catch your breath and recharge your batteries after all the crazy energy we've been through. It's probably not a good time to start any new projects.

Feb 22nd to the 25th

The 22nd to the 25th is the little brother of the big storm. The waveform is in the 355 to 467 unit region, much more moderate and useful than the big one. The harmonics are mostly H12, H24, H48 and H36 -- positive and helpful mostly, but with some rough edges. The peak areas are 3-7, 24-26 and 19 degrees. This period has the advantage of being useful without being overwhelming, so make the most of it. The Sun and Mercury are releasing the energies of Pluto and friends once again, with some minor input from Mars, so this is a good time for clearing up mental tasks and old paperwork. It's good to have a tailwind that isn't hurricane strength.

Feb 26th to the end of the month

Finally, the 26th to the end of the month is another transition period. The waveform is surprisingly strong for a transition however, in the 360 to 488 unit area. The harmonics are another fat and fuzzy H12, as well as H48 and H2, so once more the energies are positive on the surface with some tension underneath. The peaks are scattered all over, with blips at 26, 8-9, 20 and 4 degrees -- a little something for everyone. Mercury is going over Neptune, while the Sun passes by Jupiter just before the full moon. Otherwise, there's not much happening, so take some down time if it comes your way. This slow time continues into early March...
