Energy Patterns for September 2000

Major Waveform Patterns:

Sep 1st to the 18th -- a long, unfocused, drifting time.
Sep 19th to the end of the month -- a mild planetary storm.

An online ephemeris for the month is available.

If you ignore some of the short-term fluctuations in the planetary waveforms during September, the month breaks down into only 2 main energy patterns. As I hinted, the energy is pretty scattered and highly changeable this month, so it's hard to make a lot of generalizations about these 2 periods. Here are my broad descriptions -- just keep in mind that the day-to-day variations are quite marked.

Sep 1st to the 18th

The first waveform covers the 1st to the 18th. There's very little energy in this pattern, with the waveform strength ranging from 330 units to 440. The main harmonics are a volatile mix that's generally difficult, unfocused and highly changeable. The main points of emphasis (what little there is) are shown by a large number of peaks at 2, 8-10, and 15-18 degrees of each zodiac sign. Not all of them are active at once, shifting back and forth among themselves several times a day. It might be worthwhile seeing which of your natal planets fall in these areas, although the effects on you may be rather fleeting. This pattern seems to be at its strongest around the 5th and during the 13th to the 15th. I suspect this time period will be dominated by a feeling of stress and tension, a tug-of-war between outer expectations and concerns versus inner drives and compulsions. With Saturn standing still, the outer world may have the more compelling voice right now. It's time to just take care of mundane matters without much thought of "what's in it for me?", because the situation simply requires some hard work and buckling down. You may want to strut your stuff and look out for yourself mainly (with Mars in Leo until the 16th), but it doesn't seem like a good tactic overall. Take things one day at a time.

Sep 19th to the end of the month

The 19th to the end of the month is a kind of low key planetary storm. On average, the waveforms are a bit stronger, ranging from 330 units to 496 units at the new moon on the 27th. The main harmonics are considerably more constructive and easy-going! The main peaks are still scattered over a number of different zodiac positions -- 0-2, 6-8, and 15-18 degrees of each zodiac sign all have their days. This storm is slow to get off the ground, building to its maximum at the new moon. The disorganization we saw the first half of the month never completely goes away (judging from the funny shapes of the peaks). If you need to get some important projects done, this is the period to be working on them. Prior to the 27th is a good time to be doing cleanup work, while new tasks are best started after the new moon. It should be much easier to show results now, because the planets are much more focused and supportive of our actions. It's especially useful for hard work that stands behind some ideal or larger goal that you personally believe in, particularly around the 23rd to the 26th (when a lovely Saturn-Sun-Neptune Grand Trine reigns). If you want to kick back, relax, and soak it all in, it's a good time for that as well. Personally, I wouldn't want to waste this positive energy like that, however. This storm is still going strong at the end of the month and continues into early October.
